ICR deliver both 2D & 3D milling, from small keyways through to large motor foundations and press platens.
We have the ability to design and engineer bespoke machining solutions for milling of turbine casings on power generation sites as well as provide specialist applications for the marine and naval industry including sonar mount milling, rudder stops and combat systems.
Our range of specialist onsite machining services includes the in-house ability to support onsite machining of heat exchangers, tube bundles and exchanger plates as well as front and back faces of dome ends and standard raised face and bolt face. We have stock machines that can face flanges up to 5m diameter. ICR is highly experienced in machining all types of flange mechanical joints from flat, raised face to ring type, hub connector and lens flanges.
Pipe Cutting & Prepping
Our team of onsite machining engineers support match boring and simultaneous cutting and preparation of in-situ pipework. ICR machine in-situ weld excavations, working with all materials thin and heavy wall thicknesses and to any profile to suit customer requirements.
ICR have a large range of machine and ancillaries ready to mobilise for any application.
ICR can machine journals and shafts to remove wear and/or damage to under size for sleeving, weld overlay and metal spraying. Our teams then machine journals and shafts to tight tolerances back to their original diameter and this service can then be supplemented using our key milling service if required.
Drilling, Boring & Tapping
We have expertise to support hole drilling, boring tapping requirements of any material in any aspect, including tight access and to tight tolerances. We regularly support clients with the removal of broken studs without damaging existing thread forms by drilling studs to original thread core size and re-tapping to original specification.
Our specialist techniques also include drilling and boring of bearing bores, dowel bores and sleeved housings to tight tolerances to meet client specific requirements.
We support the boring of pump bores, open-ended and blind as well as crane pivot pins and bushes. Our experienced engineers also deliver bespoke applications to suit customer requirements for engine cylinder bores, bridge hinges, weir gates and machinery bucket pivot bores.
Line Boring to tight tolerances in all applications is also available and ICR can offer line boring of turbine casings to complement our half joint milling service. We also support projects for the marine and naval services with machining solutions on stern tubes, rudder and hydroplane bores.
