We are looking for a full time Workshop Senior Technician to join the team in Carnforth.
The Workshop Senior Technician will undertake general workshop duties with specific responsibility for Quickflange. The role will be responsible for workshop equipment, stock and training.
The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure that the interface between the operations teams in both Aberdeen and Carnforth is maintained and daily, weekly and monthly deliverables are achieved across all product and service lines;
Responsible for all QA/QC checks on all product and service lines are carried out as per job requirements where necessary, but in line with Quickflange™ requirements;
Assist with the management & development of BMS related processes under supervision;
Assist with inventory and ensure all minimum/maximum levels are agreed with Quickflange™ Business Manager and are continuously in stock;
Assist with organising general workshop tasks if workload demands;
Assist with maintenance and continual improvement of company asset registers and trackers;
Assist with ensuring that the Workshop, and Training Areas are adequately maintained, organised and kept in a clean and tidy condition;
Provide weekly updates to Operations Manager/ Quickflange™ Business Manager on all activities.
To carry out planned and “as required” maintenance and testing of Quickflange™ equipment, but also any On-site machines or Leak Repair Equipment as the business need arises.
To perform QA/QC activities on all manufactured flanges and kit arriving from 3rd party manufacturers;
Pack and arrange delivery worldwide of flanges and equipment.
Test and certify equipment for mobilisation.
Ensure toolbox talks and risk assessments are carried out and signed off in-line with any testing of pressurised equipment
Carry out routine stock takes of all Quickflange™ equipment, including; tooling, flanges, training equipment and ancillaries.
General workshop duties including maintenance of ICR Moss equipment and jigs and fittings required for jobs or maintenance activities.
Train clients and other Quickflange™ technicians in the use of Quickflange™ in order to provide the correct level of assessment for the skills required.
Assist with process improvement ideas with regards the Service Realisation and other processes.
Installation of Quickflange™ on the customers site in a safe and timely manner when required. This may be offshore.
Maintain records in accordance with internal quality systems, procedures and ISO 9001.
Comply with the Company Quality and Health and Safety procedures.
Ensure good, safe working practices in the workshop are maintained at all times with compliance to the Company's HSE policies.
The successful applicant should have the following:
Relevant test, repair or manufacturing experience;
Knowledge of safe working practices including, but not limited to Lock out/Tag Out, Pressurised Testing and Hydraulic Systems
IT skills: Microsoft Word and Excel (minimum) and SAP (preferably).
Trained as a trainer as soon as practicable.
Ability to work using own initiative (with minimal supervision);
Driven and goal orientated;
Well organised and methodical;
Personable, confident, well presented, extremely professional and in possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
