We are looking for full time Remote Pilots / Trainee Drone Pilots to join the ICR Sky Futures team, based out of our training academy at Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds.
All candidates must be based within a commutable distance of the Training Academy. Candidates must be willing to travel on a regular basis for varied lengths of time and hold a full UK driving license. Previous drone experience is not essential. Full training will be provided. Any prior industry experience welcomed.
The main tasks involved in the role will include, but are not limited to:
Safe Procedural Operation of rotary and fixed wing Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in close proximity of critical infrastructure;
Deploying (sometimes at short notice) to both onshore and offshore installations in the UK and globally;
Ability to follow strict operational procedures at all times;
Alongside Inspection Engineers, deliver safety-critical inspections within set time frames whilst always maintaining safety of the team and aircraft;
Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements and detailed Flight Plans;
Assisting in the maintenance and preparation of UAS;
Client liaison;
Ensuring scopes are delivered safely, professionally and on time, in line with client specifications.
Key Skills, Experience and Training Requirements:
Experience of working in small teams;
Able to work under pressure in complex, austere and/or isolated environments essential;
Previous military, engineering or industrial inspection experience is highly desirable;
Good practical knowledge of CAA unmanned aircraft regulations - not essential;
Computer literate - knowledge of photogrammetry software is also highly desirable;
Experience of delivering detailed lesson plans or the ability to instruct is advantageous;
Previous Remote Pilot experience is desirable, but not essential;
Offshore experience and with valid tickets is desirable, but not essential;
Formal experience or photography qualifications is highly desirable.
