Project Engineer - Aberdeen

We are looking for a full time Project Engineer to join the team, based out of Aberdeen.

The Project Engineer will work within the Quickflange™ Operations Team to deliver and provide project management and engineering for rental of Quickflange tooling and supply of other equipment associated with typical Quickflange projects.

The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

Main tasks:

  • Provide technical support during the quotation process and to liaise with the client/KAM’s throughout the project
  • Manage projects/scopes from receipt of order to final invoicing
  • Handle customer enquiries & request PO uplifts to ensure timely payment
  • Manage and control project costs with support from the Finance Team
  • Manage each project/scope, monitor progress and report regularly on progress
  • Develop, approve and update, job tracker, equipment tracking planner, daily sales spreadsheet and master project planner to reflect resource allocation in line with various project requirements and client requests
  • Prepare job-packs for job/project mobilisation
  • Provide support to on/offshore personnel as requested at all project/scope stages
  • Conduct pre/post job mobilisation briefings, ensuring all work has been effectively risk assessed prior to mobilisation
  • Coordinate with internal support functions for workshop, stores and logistical support to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget
  • Raise requisitions in line with Company procurement process for all materials and transport
  • Ensure Company owned hire equipment is maintained and tested pre and post use (Tooling, testers and Ancillaries)
  • Coordinate and arrange the return of equipment, including shipping documentation, commercial invoices and ensuring equipment is correctly maintained post mobilisation.
  • Complete delivery paperwork within SAP - prepare hire equipment lists for each project/scope and ensure that correct equipment is selected for dispatch and accurate project documentation is issued to the client
  • Carry out QC checks of tooling post pressure test and prior to dispatch
  • Organise and liaise with 3rd party inspection
  • Compile and issue the “Final Report” and invoice to clients, ensuring archiving of relevant project/scope records
  • Attendance and engagement at client meetings
  • Logging of project close out documentation, ensuring the QF history log is kept up to date

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver all projects/scopes to the satisfaction of the client
  • Manage project costs to ensure profits are maximised
  • Ensure adequate resource and competency of personnel to carry out projects/scopes
  • Compliance with all ICR HSEQ processes and standards

Key skills, attributes and experience:

  • HND in Mechanical Engineering discipline or similar (minimum)
  • 5 - 6 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Team player
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Flexible
  • Problem solving skills
  • Project delivery / Project Management experience
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Analysis and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferable, but not essential
  • Significant Microsoft knowledge and experience
