Offshore Technicians

We are looking for Offshore Technicians for our Composite Repairs business within ICR Integrity Ltd.

This is a full-time role with ICR, which is primarily ad-hoc offshore work, some onshore work and with occasional requirements to be based in the ICR Aberdeen workshop. The onshore training period of approximately three months will also be Aberdeen based.


The main purpose of this role is to apply all Engineered Composite Repairs products onshore and offshore in line with client requirements and in compliance with ICR procedures. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager, Composite Repairs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the application of all Technowrap™ composite products onshore and offshore in line with client requirements and in compliance with all ICR procedures
  • To become totally conversant and have a full and detailed understanding of all of the Engineered Composite Repairs business processes and how they apply in the running of the business
  • Working with and/or supervising third parties as required
  • To take responsibility for one’s own safety and for the safety of others working within ICR and whilst representing ICR on an external work site
  • Participate in the ‘Buddy System’ by actively supporting and mentoring trainee technicians and when working alongside other technical support provided by other ICR companies
  • To ensure the application of the Company’s quality procedures with particular reference to the Responsibilities and Authorities matrix are rigorously applied in all aspects of the work
  • To assist Project Managers in providing a high level of technical support to all customers
  • To become fully competent in the Application of Technowrap™ Core, Technowrap™ 2K, Technowrap™ 2KEX, Technowrap™ 2KHT, Technowrap™ 2KHA onto the entire complex geometry pipe work configurations; Carbon Fibre and Compression Techniques
  • To carry out rope access composite repair work
  • To assist in the management of the warehouse where applicable
  • Must have willingness to travel and work from various offshore/UK and overseas locations

Candidates should have the following:

  • Problem solving and multi-tasking ability, working to tight deadlines and a flexible schedule
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organisation and external contacts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external clients
  • Strong organisation and report writing skills
  • Ability to adhere to all HSEQ standards, quality management systems and internal processes e.g. COSHH
  • Self-starter that takes a collaborative approach and really enjoys working as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload and those of others
  • Sets high standards in quality of work and excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility and the willingness to contribute to new ideas and processes is a must
  • Currently holds or willing to undergo their BOSIET/MIST/offshore medical when joining the company (mandatory training requirement)
  • Level 1 Rope Access or willing to undergo training (preferable, not a mandatory requirement)
