We are looking for a full time Lead Composite Technician to join the team, based out of Stavanger.
The Lead Composite Technician will apply all Technowrap and other ICR products in compliance with all Company procedures, both onshore and offshore. Delivering training to our customers and clients. Support the day-to-day functions of the Stavanger warehouse, going to site offshore/onshore as and when required.
The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
To become fully competent in the application of the Technowrap range of products on the entire range of complex geometry pipe work configurations.
To go offshore / onshore and install Technowrap Composite products in line with client requirements and in compliance with all ICR procedures. To complete all necessary documentation / close out reports on completion of the repairs.
To assist Project Coordinators in providing high level technical support to all customers.
To train client and third party technicians on the execution of composite repairs in accordance with ICR procedures.
To provide assistance in the warehouse which will include stock management, maintenance of equipment, mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment and material.
To prepare all necessary materials for training and arranging for the appropriate testing of repaired spools after the training.
Responsible for ensuring that all dangerous materials are identified, packaged, & transported in accordance with the relevant carriers statutory & regulatory requirements.
To have a full understanding of the Quick flange product range and to become a competent installer.
To have a full and detailed understanding of all the ICR business processes and their applications.
Adhering to business processes and the correct use of BMS.
To take responsibility for one’s own safety and for the safety of others working within ICR and whilst representing ICR on an external work site.
To have a personal commitment to safety and to adhere to ICR health and safety procedures.
The successful applicant should have the following:
MIST/BOSIET/Offshore survival and medical
2K and 2KHT training, and Carbon Fibre experience
2+ years experience in pipework and/or composites (preferable)
Dangerous goods management
Chemical risk assessments and best practice
Rope Access (preferable)
Product installation – training to be provided
Internal ICR processes – training to be provided
Hands on, technical person
Industry knowledge (an advantage, but not essential)
Mechanical background (an advantage, but not essential)
Having worked with composite/wrap (an advantage, but not essential)
Ability to interact with people at all levels including external contacts
Time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external clients
Experience in using Microsoft Office and SAP
Strong organisational skills
Self-starter that takes a collaborative approach and enjoys working as part of a team
Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload and those of others as required
Sets high standards in quality of work with excellent attention to detail
Flexibility and the willingness to contribute to new ideas and processes
